March is 'Gilt' Free Luxury Month

March is one of the most beautiful times of the year and we are celebrating with luxury food and wine. This month’s cheese workshop is a wonder with some amazing cheeses imported especially for our workshop. And big news for our Meet the Maker wine tasting workshop: Domain Chandon, Senior Wine Maker, Matt Steel will host this month's event focussing on sparkling wines.

As the year gears up we will keep you informed about our events, in-season foods and easy entertaining ideas. For now, enjoy the read and see you in store.

Sincerely,

The Eurodore team

Eurodore recognised as foodie hotspot

Eurodore recognised as foodie hotspot

Eurodore was this week listed by TripAdvisor on their ‘Melbourne is For Foodies’, traveller advice ‘Go List’, joining many respected provedores and larders including Simon Johnson and Richmond Hill Cafe and Larder..

Trip Advisor, the largest, independent, travel community in the world, describes Eurodore as, “There are a number of excellent Providores dotted around the inner city. Eurodore in Port Melbourne is an attractive space with and excellent selection of imported and local gourmet produce, serving innovative light meals at the front, which feature their wares and can include items such as French Rabbit Pie.”

The team have worked incredibly hard to gain local acclaim and we are thrilled to now receive this international recognition. Eurodore puts Port Melbourne on the map for food (and especially cheese) lovers.

And the Eurodore team are committed to another year of success with an impressive line up of industry greats and a seasonally changing product range.

Stefano stocks back in store

Stefano stocks back in store

Chef, restauranteur and food legend Stefano di Pieri has partnered with Lyndall Vandenberg to create the most stunning jams, preserves and chutneys - all available at Eurodore.

Hand made in small batches, free of additives and preservatives, Stefano’s Preserves are hand made with seasonal produce harvested at their peak of freshness and flavour. And for this reason, stocks and some varieties are not always available.

We are please to say however, our complement of stocks are now in store.

Throw out the tomato sauce and use the very tasty Sweet Tomato and Chilli Chutney or the ever popular Caramalized Onion Jam with everything! Smear it over the foccacia and add slices of ripe tomato, fresh oregano leaves and bake. Oven roasted seasonal vine ripened tomatoes, onions, chilli's, fresh lemon juice and zest, extra virgin olive oil, white balsamic vinegar, sugar and natural salt create a flavour sensation.

And the Peach and Vanilla Bean Jam is simply addictive. A luscious fruity jam made with vanilla beans! Eat with pancakes and ice cream. Use as the base for a fruit tart, wedge it between the two sponge cake layers or simply have it on toast. Local seasonal peaches, real vanilla beans, fresh lemon & zest and sugar.
