Spring has come and we are now in the final stretch of the year - busier than ever. Chef Dan Melbourne and the team are pleased to announce the release of the Spring menu and as Christmas planning begins we emerge from our winter woollies with a desire to entertain again. This is reflected in store with new easy entertaining products and recipes, many of which are used in Spring's new menu. We also have our last cheese workshop for the year, with a sterling record of sell out events since we began these fun events over a year ago. With only two Inner Circle editions left this year we are cramming as much  in as we can.

Following in the vein of Oktoberfest, this special night matches perfectly those cheeses which best complement beers and ciders.

Isigny Red Label Camembert, Graindorge Livarot, Will Studd Selected Farmhouse Cheddar, Mauri Taleggio, Beemster X.O. - Extra Double Aged Gouda and the rare Holy Goat La Luna Baby wrapped in Chestnut Leaves are all on offer along with some cheeky German and local beers and international ciders.

Perfect hands make Pannettone

You may remember Eurodore was one of only two Melbourne foodstores to stock the Perbellini Pannettone and Pandoro for Christmas.

Last year we sold out and so to ensure everyone can receive these prized Pannettone or Pandoro we are taking ex-shipment orders. To secure your’s, you can preorder and pay in the foodstore.

For those new to the Perbellini story...Ernesto Perbellini and his two brothers, who are well into their 60’s, make world renowned Pannettone and Pandoro on the outskirts of Verona in the northern Italian region of Veneto.

They are fifth generation pastry cooks specializing on pasticerria.
Pannettone is a typical sweet bread of Milan, with nuts and fruit, usually prepared and enjoyed for Christmas and New Year around Italy. Pandoro translates as “golden bread” and is the traditional Christmas cake of Verona. Baked in a star shape, it is light and buttery and covered with a light dusting of icing sugar.

The Perbellini Panettone and Pandoro are baked at the end of October as the cooler weather settles in, the dough is handmade and allowed to leaven naturally, baked, then allowed to cool, then the cake is hand wrapped by the Perbellini Family.

They are superbly packaged and make wonderful gifts.

Every jar of Stefano’s Preserves goes beyond the packaging and boasts produce bursting with colour, texture and flavour! Hand made in small batches, free of additives and preservatives, Stefano’s Preserves use only seasonal produce harvested at their peak of freshness and flavour.

Throw out the tomato sauce and use the very tasty Sweet Tomato and Chilli Chutney chutney with everything! Smear it over the foccacia and add slices of ripe tomato, fresh oregano leaves and bake. Oven roasted seasonal vine ripened tomatoes, onions, chilli's, fresh lemon juice and zest, extra virgin olive oil, white balsamic vinegar, sugar and natural salt create a flavour sensation.

And the Peach and Vanilla Bean Jam is simply addictive. A luscious fruity jam made with vanilla beans! Eat with pancakes and ice cream. Use as the base for a fruit tart, wedge it between the two sponge cake layers or simply have it on toast. Local seasonal peaches, real vanilla beans, fresh lemon & zest and sugar.
