Hello friend

We all shared a lovely time together at the 'Spring Yoga Weekend' at the Lake House, Daylesford.

Please join us next May for our Autumn Yoga Weekend.  It is an absolutely gorgeous, restful retreat and always attracts the most delightful people.  As for the cuisine....OMG!

The Lake House has kindly shared one of its morning tea recipes with us (see below). Please enjoy!

By the time you receive this I shall be in New York spending my time exploring galleries and yoga centres and catching up with friends.

So, until we meet again, take lots of deep breaths and have fun!

Very yogic...except for the sugar and chocolate....

 

The Seasonal Fruits Muffin Recipe:

400g Seasonal fruits
440gself raising flour
250g sugar
2 eggs
1 cup milk
1 cup oil
 

 

Sift together flour and sugar and make a well in the centre.
Whisk milk, oil and eggs together.
Gradually add wet mix to dry to form a batter.
Fold in chopped fruit.
Cook at 165 oc for 20 mins

*Seasonal Fruit Suggestions:

 

Apricot and White Chocolate

Orange, Raspberries & Milk Chocolate

Apple, Date & Walnuts

Rhubarb, Apple & Cinnamon

The technique of inner gazing on the void:

Akasha implies your inner sky, the mental state of shunyashthanam, which means devoid of any quality.  This practice enables you to gain control of the sense, and allows the mind to 'think no thought'.

Take a few moments to quiet the mind and tap into the breath with this simple, 5-minute, breath meditation. If you are at home or in a private office, just close the door, turn off your phone and follow my voice.

If you are in an open office you may want to use ear-phones, or you may be skilled enough to chill out from external distractions without them.

Five minutes of meditation will restore your energy, increase your focus, enhance your creativity and lift your productivity.

Give it a try….you will be amazed at the results!

In the time it has taken you to read this you have possibly taken a deep breath, reflected, imagined and slowed down just a little.

So now stand up and stretch; walk around for a minute or two and drink a glass of water.
